SERIOUSLY's HEART Tour with a Cause
  April 05, 2008

Seriously is on tour across the U.S.

AsianConnections' is proud to be a media sponsor for LA-based pop/alternative/rock band SERIOUSLY for its national HEART Tour from April 5 to April 25.

Together, we can make a difference. Enjoy the concert and show support for this hot music band, which just so happens to be led by Asian American talent, and also help save some lives at the same time.

The HEART Tour's goal is to sign up 2,000 people to help increase awareness about fatal blood diseases and the urgent need to increase the number of potential bone donors in the APA community.

Come out and enjoy the performances with pop/alternative/rock band featuring Chris Pham (19) Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Nathan Park (19) on Electric Guitar, Joshua Baek (22) on Bass, and Philip Park (19) on Drums.

The four formed their band when they met at a local Asian church near their hometown community of Diamond Bar, California. SERIOUSLY competed in KOLLABORATION, an Asian American talent show in Los Angeles and won the grand prize which included $1,200 in cash and the opportunity to record with music publisher and distributor Chaos Theory Music.

A friend of the band, Alex Park, is documenting their journey, segments of the series have been released on YouTube, MySpace and the label's website.

SERIOUSLY's producer Woody Pak, an established composer and music artist in his own right and CEO of Chaos Theory Music, expresses his hope for the band, "We really believe that they can be the next Asian American, maybe the first Asian American rock band that really can hit the mainstream."

Seriously's upbeat, energetic pop rock tunes are infused with heartfelt lyrics blending a "melancholy-hued optimism" with raw honesty. Their original music has hints of American rock & roll, K-pop (Korean pop music), and Brit-pop.

APA attendees can sign-up at the concerts as a potential blood marrow match benefiting three non-profit APA organizations. More people signing up can help improve the chances of a blood type match to increase the chances of providing life saving marrow.

SERIOUSLY's performances are FREE, except VASCON 4 (Georgetown University), and the Asian Cultural Festival Queens Theater in the Park in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, New York.

Follow the tour at SERIOUSLY's MySpace website.

Check out details on where to see the HEART Tour performances here through SERIOUSLY's music label Chaos Theory Music.

"We are all very excited about supporting SERIOUSLY on their breakthrough HEART Tour while bringing the bone marrow cause to young audiences. There is a critical need for more potential donors in our community and we hope to register as many potential donors as possible at each event," says Yul Kwon, Survivorwinner and AADP spokesperson.

Kwon, and other Asian celebrities such as Archie Kao ("CSI", "Power Rangers") are joining the tour to support the band and the bone marrow drive.

Several non-profit APA community organizations which will benefit from bone marrow donor matching sign-ups at SERIOUSLY's performances, include the Asian American Donor Program (AADP Northern California), Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches (A3M Southern California) and the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation (CLLF East Coast).
