Amy Tan's short story Two Kinds on National Public Radio

Posted by Lia Chang on Thursday, 17 June 2004.

National Public Radio features Amy Tan's Two Kinds , read by yours truly as part of the Symphony Space Selected Shorts Series .

Participating in this award-winning Symphony Space Selected Shorts Series ranks as one of my most rewarding theatrical experiences to date.

This popular program shines the spotlight on actors from stage, screen and television who bring classic and new short stories to life, I read Amy Tan's Two Kinds from the Joy Luck Club in front of an audience of over 800 people in the Symphony Space's main theater in New York. Isaiah Sheffer is a delightful host for the program which is recorded and subsequently produced for the radio by Symphony Space and WNYC Radio.
