Bruno Mars - and Ben Fong-Torres Rock It!

Bruno Mars, aka Peter Gene Hernandez rock'd it as the 2014 NFL Super Bowl half time headliner tonight. He sang and danced into the hearts and minds of millions, despite naysayers who didn't know his name until the Super Bowl.

Time magazine's online edition posted a story today by writer Isaac Guzman titled "Who Is This Bruno Mars Dude, and How Did He Get to the Super Bowl?"

Guzman gives tips to his readers who have never heard of him by saying he's a "scrawny little dude with the gravity-defying haircut," although he does point out Mars is three inches taller than Prince.

The 28 year old singer-songwriter-producer-musician and 2-time Grammy award winner with 18 nominations grew up in a musical family and hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, and is of Filipino, Puerto Rican and European Jewish descent. Mars performed with his band The Hooligans, and Rock n' Roll Hall of Famers - Red Hot Chili Peppers.

NFL.com's profile of Mars on its website reports that according to Billboard, Mars scored his first five "Hot 100" No. 1s faster than any male since Elvis Presley. 

Talk about guys who rock'd it on-camera in front of millions. This past Monday January 27, 2014 I was in the master control room watching (and filming with a crew) Ben Fong-Torres as he did a live interview from San Francisco with CNN's Piers Morgan. We were there to shoot behind-the-scenes footage of Ben for a documentary we are producing about him. Talk about a cool Dude under pressure! He was cracking jokes all the way up to the live broadcast. More about that soon!
