Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter Passes Away at Age 96
When I got married and moved to a Ranch north of Tucson, Arizona, I was still a broadcaster for an ABC TV affiliate Magazine show, but the rest of my life completely changed. I remember when the late First Lady Rosalynn Carter arrived at our Kai Ranch and greeted our family. She was beautiful and very kind. She wrote me a handwritten note wishing me good wishes in happiness and health. I wish I could thank her for her kindness again. Thank you First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

A special tribute to the late August Wilson at the August Wilson Theatre in NYC on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3pm.

Celebrate the late August Wilson at the "first come, first served" tribute, organized by the New Federal Theatre, at the August Wilson Theatre in New York City on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 at 3:00pm.

The two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama, who passed away on Oct. 2 from complications due to liver cancer at the age of 60, triumphed on Broadway with his cycle of plays chronicling the 20th Century African American experience. The plays include; 1900's Gem of the Ocean, 1910's Joe Turner's Come and Gone, 1920's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, 1930's The Piano Lesson, 1940's Seven Guitars, 1950's Fences, 1960's Two Trains Running, 1970's Jitney, 1980's King Hedley II and the more recent 1990's Radio Golf, the tenth and final play in Wilson's cycle, set to debut in New York next season at the August Wilson Theatre.

Wilson will be honored by theatre's brightest stars, many of whom have performed in one or more of August Wilson's epics on Broadway or Off-Broadway.
