During their very hectic modeling and traveling schedules, Southern California based twin sisters Ada and Arlene have been busy writing. Their first short feature is already financed and in production this summer.  "The story line is close to some of our own personal experiences. It's a comedy about dating and friends," says Ada.

A second script has also been completed. The script is developed for a feature length motion picture to be named "The Last Oracle." "It's an action adventure about a missing relic in China," says Ada.

As you can tell from the versatility of the images above, and on Arlene's page, these sisters can play many different types of roles. There was also a full page ad in the June 30, 1999 edition of the Wall Street Journal featuring their "corporate" images for a major global investment firm promotion.

When we met Ada and Arlene, they were modeling fashions at the Jackie Chan - Hong Kong Tourist Association reception in Beverly Hills, and then flying off to Paris on assignment the next day. Ada graciously lent us the use of one of her images for our story on Asian Make-up by renowned make-up artist Bobbi Brown. Her gorgeous photo also appeared in our original AsianConnections splash page of our inaugural launch early this year, which is soon to be released as a downloadable screen saver for all AsianConnections members.

As we catch up with Ada and Arlene this summer '99, their non-stop pace continues. In addition to completing the two scripts and producing one into a short feature, they have also finished photo shoots in New York and acted in a soon to-be-released independent film by Steve Dunning.

AsianConnections looks forward to viewing the upcoming work of these talented sisters both in front of and behind the camera. Visit Arlene's page at AsianConnections for their video greetings wearing Hong Kong's Flora Cheong-Leen's fashions!  Also, for more great images visit Ada and Arlene's website at: www.TaiTwins.com

The Tai twins premiered their first production "Rock, Paper, Scissors" at the Directors' Guild of America in Los Angeles, California, at the Asian American Pacific Film and Video Festival in May 2000.
