Director Mike Kang Casting New Feature Film

Posted by AC Team on Monday, 31 July 2006

Mike Kang, director of THE MOTEL is casting his next feature film, WEST 32ND.

Mike Kang, director of THE MOTEL is casting his next feature in New York. Here is his email blast from cyberspace:

As some of you know, I am prepping for my next film WEST 32ND. It is a film that takes place largely in Flushing and of course on West 32nd. The film is being shot in NYC from Aug 14 - Sept 22. We cannot afford to hire anyone who is not New York local.

I am calling on you now to help with a couple things:

1. LOCATIONS: We are looking for a couple locations to shoot as apartments for the main characters that live out in Flushing. Both should be modest traditional Korean apartments. The detail of having an actual Korean family's apartment in New York will add so much to the film's authenticity. I promise there are no crazy action scenes and the
crew is 100% professional and responsible. I will personally make sure everyone takes off their shoes when they come in. If you have family or know someone in Queens (Bayside, Elmhurst also work) that may be interested in letting us in, please let me know.

There is also a location fee provided. As well, we work in conjunction with The Mayor's Office of Radio Television and Film. And of course the production is fully insured.

If you have leads for locations, please write Teddy Yoon at
